Crypto.com’s X account was forced to delete a post featuring a crypto-themed Chinese checkers board after users began comparing it to the flag of Israel and making antisemitic remarks. The “commentary” account @trading_axe, which itself frequently shares antisemitic posts, used Crypto.com’s tweet to refer to the international Jewish conspiracy — the notion that there’s a powerful Jewish force running the world — and claim that the exchange was under Jewish control. After the post was deleted, @trading_axe claimed, “Crypto dot com just deleted their Jew symbology tweet after I quote tweeted them. Diabolical work.” The intended symbology, however, was nothing to do with any shadowy Jewish plot , but rather referenced the game of Chinese checkers. An award-winning investigative journalist who has reported on human trafficking and crypto scam centers in Cambodia was arrested by the country’s state military police on Monday. Authorities charged Mech Dara with “incitement to disturb social security” over a series of social media posts, according to the local news outlet CamboJA. He was subsequently placed in pre-trial detention at Kandal provincial prison. Dara was reportedly stopped at a toll booth by six police cars and arrested under a warrant while traveling with his family. At the time, his charges were unknown. On September 29, Dara shared images of a pagoda in Ba Phnom that was damaged by quarry work. A video shared by crypto Influencer and alleged rug-puller Matt Wallace, which he claimed depicted the start of World War 3, has been debunked and confirmed as a three-year-old CGI depiction of an earlier conflict. Wallace shared the video on April 13 and it has since garnered 22.5 million views, 161,000 likes, and 32,000 retweets. However, despite his rather pessimistic ‘WW3 HAS STARTED’ caption, as pointed out by Reuters, the clip is nothing more than a mock-up of a World War 2 air raid. The video was previously debunked when it was claimed that it showed real-life footage from the Russia/Ukraine conflict and later, fighting in Gaza. Wallace used to call himself a ‘DogeTuber’ while basing his brand around Dogecoin. Despite this, Doge’s founder Billy Markus accused Wallace of using the Doge name to rug-pull his followers with a shitcoin called Accept Doge.
