One of the wallets behind the $33 million “rugging” of ZKasino has lost over $27 million while leverage trading on Hyperliquid, despite investors still waiting to be paid back. According to X user @SigmaSquared, the wallet placed a 20x leverage trade on the price of ether (ETH) that would liquidate if it fell to $1,745. On Sunday, it duly did.  The wallet was involved in the likely rug pull of ZKasino back in April 2024. Cuba’s official government X account apparently tried to rugpull a Cuba-themed memecoin today in a stunt that caused some to believe the country was in on the memecoin frenzy started by Donald Trump this weekend.  However, the launch appears to be the work of hackers, as not only did the token dump following a price rise, but the posts from the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs appear completely out of character.  After the first promotion of “Official Cuba Coin,” the government account said, “We are experiencing some difficulties with our X page and are investigating the issue. The meme coin hype is far from cooling down. While the captains of the ship, Dogecoin and Shiba Inu, are hibernating, others like Baby Doge Coin and Floki Inu have risen to the occasion. In fact, the launch of a new meme coin called Pepe in mid-April got the community even more excited, as few investors made millions in profit by trading. Tapping into the trend, a scammer created several fake coins to lure investors. According to on-chain sleuth ZachXBT, the person launched around 114 meme coin scams in just the past one-and-a-half months.
