Cosmos community votes to set ATOM’s minimum inflation at 0%

The Cosmos Hub ecosystem community has begun voting on a proposal to set the minimum inflation rate for the ATOM token at 0%. Voting has begun in the Cosmos Hub community to set the minimum inflation rate for the ATOM token at 0%. Almost 95% of community members are currently voting for the proposal, which began on Jan. 9 and will end on Jan. 23. Only 4.4% were against inflation of the project’s native token, and 0.1% of community members used the right of veto. Boxing champion throws his weight behind NFTs that aim to raise funds for Ukraine

Heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk is helping launch a new NFT collection to raise money for Ukraine — and blockchain networks are being urged to get involved. A new nonfungible token collection is aiming to give a substantial contribution to a charitable foundation supporting Ukrainians following Russia's invasion. Blockasset says the NFT release has been organized in collaboration with world heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk, who is from Ukraine himself. The sale comes ahead of Usyk's world title defence against Anthony Joshua on August 20. There are 2,000 one-of-one NFTs of unique artwork, and they feature quirky designs by the world-renowned artist Dosbrak — chronicling some of the key moments from the boxer's undefeated professional career. IMF says no crypto as legal tender; community disagrees

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) recently made another anti-crypto move, expressing its opposition to crypto becoming a legal tender. In response to this, members of the crypto community were quick to fire back, going on Twitter to express disagreement.  The executive board of the IMF recently endorsed a crypto asset policy framework that included not granting crypto assets an official currency or legal tender status.
