Susquehanna International Group has disclosed holdings of approximately $291 million in Bitcoin ETFs, the company announced on Wednesday. The company currently trades spot, futures, swaps, options, and ETFs on a wide variety of cryptocurrencies on exchanges around the world. Ethereum Rival Cardano Surges This Week As Crypto Giant Grayscale Files ADA ETF Application

Cardano has managed to outshine a large percentage of the digital asset market this week amid news that the crypto asset management firm Grayscale wants to create a spot ADA exchange-traded fund (ETF) for the smart contract platform. The ETF and securities exchange NYSE Arca, a subsidiary of the New York Stock Exchange, submitted a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday to propose listing the Grayscale Cardano Trust, which, if approved, would be the first-ever ADA ETF. ADA is trading at $0.804 at time of writing. The 9th-ranked crypto asset by market cap is up nearly 2% in the past day and more than 12% in the past week. The crypto asset management firm Grayscale has seen its CEO, Michael Sonnenshein, officially resign from his position with the company. Grayscale CEO highlights 20% GBTC share buyback option if ETF conversion fails

The proposed offer would require both SEC relief and shareholders' approval. According to an end-of-year letter to investors published on Dec. 10, Grayscale Investments' CEO Michael Sonnenshein said that the firm may consider "a tender offer for a portion of the outstanding shares of GBTC [ Grayscale Bitcoin Trust]" if the latter's exchange-traded fund conversion process is ultimately unsuccessful. Sonnenshein stated that "such tender offer would be for no more than 20% of the outstanding shares of GBTC" and would require both regulatory "relief" from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as well as shareholder approval to approve such offer. Grayscale and its subsidiary over-the-counter traded fund GBTC is currently embroiled in a lawsuit with the SEC after the latter denied Grayscale's application to convert the GBTC to a spot Bitcoin ETF on June 29, 2022.
